The GSG 1911 is a faithful .22 LR reproduction of John Browning's 1911, built to the same dimensions and controls as the centerfire original, so it handles, holsters and manipulates exactly like the real thing. That makes it one of the best training tools available for anyone serious about the 1911 platform — the ammunition costs a fraction of .45 ACP, so you can run drills for hours. This version wears a 5-inch barrel with a tan finish and wood grips. Beyond training, it is simply an enjoyable plinking and small game pistol with almost no recoil.
