Rossi's R95 is a modern lever-action in the Marlin 336 mold, with side ejection that keeps the top of the receiver clear for a scope and a round bolt that cycles smoothly. This version is the synthetic-stocked model in .30-30 Winchester, the cartridge that has taken more deer in North America than perhaps any other, with an 18-inch barrel that makes it a compact, fast-handling brush gun. Blued steel and a black synthetic stock shrug off weather and hard use in the truck or the tree stand. The tubular magazine holds five rounds, and the R95 is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It is a lean, no-nonsense deer rifle in the American tradition.
