The Rossi RS22 is a straightforward blowback semi-auto rimfire that has earned its place as an affordable first rifle and an everyday plinker. This version wears an 18-inch barrel with black and teal synthetic furniture and fiber optic sights, which pick up light quickly and make hits on cans and steel easy without a scope. The receiver is grooved or railed for optics if you would rather mount a red dot or rimfire scope. For teaching a new shooter, running small game, or just burning through a brick of .22 LR on a Saturday, it is hard to beat.
