The Chiappa 1911 Superior dresses the classic Government-size .45 ACP in old-world finery, with color case hardened frame treatment that gives every pistol a one-of-a-kind swirl of blues and browns. The 5-inch barrel and all-steel construction deliver the soft-shooting heft that makes full-size 1911s so pleasant with .45 ACP, and this model includes a red dot adapter so you can run modern optics on a classic silhouette. Italian maker Chiappa has a knack for handsome, affordable takes on iconic American designs, and the Superior is a standout example.
