The ELR is Christensen Arms' extreme long range rifle, and chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum with a 27-inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel and a muzzle brake, it is about as far as a shoulder-fired bolt gun reaches. The .338 Lapua drives heavy, high-BC bullets supersonic past a mile, and it needs both barrel length and mass to be shot well, which is exactly where the carbon-wrapped barrel earns its keep by adding stiffness and heat capacity without proportional weight. Finished in black and gray and backed by the company's sub-MOA guarantee.
