CVA's Scout is a single-shot break-action rifle built on the same platform as the company's well-regarded muzzleloaders, and it has a following among hunters who want a simple, light, accurate rifle without a magazine or a bolt. This XP version is chambered in .223 Remington with a short 12-inch threaded barrel, a configuration aimed squarely at suppressed use, where a short barrel and a can produce a genuinely compact package.

The CrushZone recoil pad and DuraSight scope rail come standard. Note that the short barrel length means this configuration is intended for pistol or NFA use depending on the build.
