The .35 Whelen is one of the great sleeper cartridges in American hunting: a .30-06 case necked up to .35 caliber, throwing heavy bullets with authority on elk, moose, and big bear while still being manageable to shoot. It is a wildcat that earned its way into factory production on merit alone.

CVA's Cascade XT gives it a modern home, with a 22-inch barrel threaded 5/8x24, a Midnight Bronze finish, and a Mossy Oak Bottomland synthetic stock. The adjustable trigger and detachable magazine are welcome, and the soft-touch stock inserts help maintain grip in wet conditions.
