CVA built its name on muzzleloaders and brought that same value-focused approach to the Cascade centerfire line, which has been a pleasant surprise for shooters expecting less. The Cascade uses a two-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw, a threaded and free-floated barrel, a soft-touch synthetic stock with a Cerakote barreled action, and a crisp adjustable trigger — a specification sheet that reads like a much more expensive rifle.

This Varmint Hunter is chambered in .223 Remington with a 20-inch barrel threaded 5/8x24, dressed in Realtree Highlander camo with a Flat Dark Earth finish. Cheap to feed, nearly recoilless, and threaded for a suppressor or brake — a purpose-built coyote and prairie-dog rifle.
