The CVA Scout is a single-shot break-action rifle built on the same rugged frame family as CVA's muzzleloaders, and it is a favorite among hunters who want simplicity and a rifle that is easy to verify empty. This one is chambered in .444 Marlin with a 22-inch threaded barrel, black synthetic furniture and a blued finish.

.444 Marlin is a big-bore thumper — heavy .429-caliber bullets that hit hard on hogs, black bear and whitetails in thick cover. The break action is also legal in a number of jurisdictions that restrict repeating rifles, and the threaded muzzle accepts a brake or suppressor.
