This is a Dead Air Armament Ghost piston threaded 1/2x28. On a tilting-barrel pistol, the added weight of a suppressor can keep the barrel from unlocking correctly, and a booster piston, sometimes called a Nielsen device, allows the barrel to move independently of the can so the pistol cycles as designed.

Matching the piston's thread pitch to your host barrel is essential, and 1/2x28 is the common pattern for .22 caliber and some 9mm hosts. Dead Air machines these to tight tolerances so the bore stays concentric and the suppressor mounts square every time.
