The Diamondback DBX is one of the more distinctive 5.7x28mm firearms on the market, an AR-influenced pistol built around a lightweight aluminum receiver and a side-charging, non-reciprocating handle. With an 8-inch barrel and bronze finish, it makes far better use of the 5.7 cartridge than a handgun-length barrel does, pushing velocity up considerably. Recoil is close to nonexistent, the platform accepts FN-pattern magazines, and the full-length top rail leaves room for optics and night vision. It has found a following for varmint work, home defense and recreational shooting.
