The EAA Baikal bolt-action rifle, shown here as the Balikli, is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and wears a wood stock over a blued steel barrel and action. The .30-06 has been a staple American hunting cartridge for well over a century, with ammunition available in loads for everything from whitetail to elk. A traditional wood-and-blue look appeals to hunters who prefer a classic style, while the bolt action offers dependable operation in the field. It is a straightforward, no-frills hunting rifle for the shooter who values proven performance.
