The Crickett has taught more American kids to shoot than almost any other rifle. Keystone Sporting Arms built it as a purpose-designed youth gun: a single-shot bolt action in .22 LR, sized to a young shooter, light enough for small arms to hold steady, and simple enough that a beginner can understand every part of its operation.

The single-shot design is deliberate. Loading one round at a time enforces deliberate, supervised habits and makes the rifle easy to verify as clear. This version wears a stainless barrel with a gray stock and a 16-inch barrel. It comes with a manual safety and a peep-style sight setup appropriate for first lessons.
