The Kimber 8400 Mountain Ascent is a lightweight bolt-action rifle chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 26-inch barrel. The 8400 is Kimber larger-action design, built around a controlled-feed style action for dependable feeding, and this Mountain Ascent version trims weight for hunters who carry their rifle over long distances. The .300 Win Mag is a go-to for elk, moose and long-range shooting thanks to its flat trajectory and energy. It is a premium big-game rifle with a lighter feel than most magnums.
