Mossberg's Patriot has become a well-regarded value bolt action, with a fluted barrel, a streamlined bolt and a user-adjustable LBA trigger that breaks cleaner than most in its class. The drop box magazine feeds reliably and drops free, which is more than some pricier rifles manage.

This package comes chambered in .400 Legend with a 20-inch barrel, a synthetic stock over a blued action, and a mounted scope so it is ready to sight in and hunt. The .400 Legend was developed for straight-wall cartridge states, offering more energy and better wind resistance than the .350 Legend with recoil that stays reasonable.
