The Mossberg Patriot in .22-250 Remington is a purpose-built varmint rifle made for the working hunter. The .22-250 is one of the fastest commercial .22 centerfires, sending light bullets flat enough to make coyotes, prairie dogs and rockchucks at long range routine. This version pairs a 22-inch fluted stainless barrel, threaded at the muzzle for a brake or suppressor, with a handsome walnut stock, and it feeds from a five-round detachable box magazine. Mossberg's LBA trigger is user adjustable for a crisp, light pull, the fluted bolt cycles smoothly, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped for optics. It is an easy rifle to like for a hunter who wants stainless durability with a traditional wood look.
