The Mossberg 802 Plinkster is a bolt-action .22 LR rifle designed for fun, practice, and teaching new shooters. An 18-inch barrel and a blued finish with a synthetic stock keep things light and approachable, while .22 LR rimfire ammunition keeps range days inexpensive.

It is a good first rifle for young or beginning shooters, and equally at home for backyard plinking, small-game hunting, and trigger-control practice. Mossberg has a long history of building affordable, dependable rimfire rifles, and the Plinkster carries that tradition forward with a straightforward, easy-to-use design.
