Mossberg's 940 Pro series was engineered around a self-cleaning gas system specifically designed to run reliably even after high volumes of shooting without regular maintenance, a feature that has made it popular with clays shooters and hunters alike. The 940 Pro Field version pairs that dependable action with a walnut stock and 28-inch barrel, giving it classic field-gun balance and pointability for upland birds and waterfowl. Chambered in 12-gauge, it's built to cycle a wide range of shotshell loads without the sluggishness some gas guns show with lighter target loads. For hunters who want a reliable, low-maintenance semi-auto with traditional good looks, the 940 Pro Field delivers.
