Mossberg's 940 Pro series was developed with competition shooters and tuned for reliability over thousands of rounds between cleanings, with a gas system designed to resist fouling and a redesigned, easier-to-load elevator. The Turkey variant applies that to the spring woods.

It carries a 12 gauge 18.5 in. barrel in Mossy Oak Greenleaf camo, a fiber optic sight and a receiver ready for a red dot, which has become the standard for serious turkey hunters shooting tight-patterning extended chokes. Short, maneuverable and quick to shoulder from a seated position against a tree.
