POF USA built the Tombstone as a modern take on the pistol caliber lever action, and it is a genuinely different animal from a traditional lever gun. It feeds from detachable magazines rather than a tube, which means faster reloads and no fumbling cartridges through a loading gate, and it uses a modern chassis-style construction with an M-LOK handguard and an optics rail.

Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 16.5-inch barrel, it shares ammunition with a common carry pistol and is quiet, cheap to shoot and easy on recoil, which makes it a strong ranch, truck or home-defense carbine.
