The Proof Research Ascension in 7mm PRC is a long-range hunting rifle built to stay light. Proof's carbon fiber barrel, 22 inches long here, keeps weight off the front of the rifle while providing the stiffness needed for consistent accuracy, and the bolt-action platform keeps the rifle simple and dependable in the field.

Hornady's 7mm PRC was created to make the most of long, high-BC 7mm bullets, so it holds energy well and drifts less in the wind at distance. Together they make the Ascension a capable choice for elk, mule deer and other big game where shots can stretch out.
