The Proof Research Ascension is a premium lightweight hunting rifle that combines Proof's carbon fiber barrel technology with a refined bolt-action build for hunters chasing game at altitude. This version is chambered in 7mm Backcountry with a 20-inch barrel and a Black Jungle stock.

Federal's 7mm Backcountry was designed to deliver magnum performance from a short action, which suits a compact rifle like this one. Light enough for long climbs and accurate enough for long shots, the Ascension is built for sheep, goat, elk and deer hunters who refuse to compromise on either.
