Built for hunters who go high and far, the Proof Research Ascension pairs a lightweight bolt-action design with the company's signature carbon fiber barrel. This model is chambered in 7mm Backcountry and fitted with a 20-inch barrel for a short, well-balanced rifle that handles easily on steep ground.

The 7mm Backcountry, developed by Federal, pushes 7mm bullets at magnum-class velocity from a short-action cartridge, giving this compact rifle real long-range reach. It is a strong choice for backcountry hunters who want the accuracy Proof Research is known for in a rifle that is easy to carry all day.
