Proof Research made its name on carbon fiber wrapped barrels, and the Elevation is the rifle built to show what they can do: a lightweight mountain hunting rig with a match-grade barrel that weighs a fraction of what steel alone would. This Elevation 2.0 is a left-hand rifle chambered in 7mm PRC with a 20-inch barrel and TFDE finish. The short barrel and carbon construction make it genuinely packable for backcountry elk, while 7mm PRC gives it the terminal performance to justify carrying a magnum up the mountain in the first place.
