The M1A is Springfield Armory's civilian semi-automatic version of the M14, the rifle that served as the U.S. service arm between the Garand and the M16. It keeps the gas-operated, rotating-bolt design and the substantial walnut-or-composite-stocked feel of a battle rifle, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO.

This Standard model pairs a 22-inch parkerized barrel with an FDE stock.
