Savage built the Carbon Hunter Pro around a carbon-wrapped barrel to cut weight where it matters most, and pairing that with .350 Legend and an 18-inch tube produces a genuinely light, handy straight-wall deer rifle. That matters in the Midwest and other straight-wall-only states, where hunters need a rifle that is quick in a blind and thumps hard inside a couple hundred yards without punishing recoil. The 110 action is a known quantity: strong, easy to scope, and fed by a detachable box. Savage's AccuTrigger and AccuFit stock hardware let you tune both the trigger pull and the fit of the rifle.
