The .338 Lapua Magnum is a serious long-range cartridge with military sniping heritage, capable of delivering meaningful energy well past a mile in the right hands. Savage chambers it here in the Core Hunter Pro Western with a 24-inch barrel and a bronze finish, built on the 110 action with its user-adjustable AccuTrigger, floating bolt head and AccuFit stock system for tuning comb height and length of pull. Recoil is substantial — this is a cartridge for shooters who want extreme reach on the largest game or at extended distances, and who will put in the work behind it.
