Savage built the Core Hunter Pro Western for open-country hunting, and it carries the two features that have defined the company's modern rifles: the AccuTrigger, adjustable by the owner down to a light and completely creep-free pull, and the AccuFit system that lets you set comb height and length of pull to your own dimensions rather than living with the factory's compromise.

This one is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch barrel and bronze finish. The 6.5 Creedmoor's combination of high-BC bullets, mild recoil and universal ammunition availability has made it the default modern hunting and long-range cartridge, and a 20-inch barrel keeps the rifle handy without giving up much velocity.
