The Savage Axis XP is the ready-to-hunt package: an Axis rifle with a scope factory-mounted and bore-sighted, so a new hunter can zero it with a box of ammunition and be ready for opening day. This left-handed version is chambered in .270 Winchester, the classic flat-shooting deer and antelope cartridge that has been dropping game since 1925 and remains one of the easiest big-game rounds to find on any shelf. The blued barrel is threaded at the muzzle for a suppressor, sits in a black synthetic stock and feeds from a detachable box magazine. Savage's button-rifled barrels and floating bolt head give the Axis line accuracy that punches above its class.
