The Savage Axis 2 XP has become one of the most recommended entry points into centerfire bolt-action hunting, and this left-hand package in .270 Winchester keeps that value proposition intact for southpaw shooters. Savage builds the Axis 2 around a rigid, minimal-frills receiver mated to a button-rifled barrel, and the user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets you set a clean, light pull without gunsmithing. The .270 Win remains a benchmark deer and open-country big-game cartridge, flat-shooting and mild enough to shoot well from a lightweight rifle. The threaded barrel accepts a brake or suppressor, and the green synthetic stock shrugs off wet weather.
