A left-hand Savage Axis 2 XP chambered in .350 Legend, shipping as a complete scoped package with a threaded barrel, blued finish and gray synthetic stock. .350 Legend was designed specifically for the straight-wall-cartridge hunting regulations in place across much of the Midwest, and it has become the default choice in those states.

It offers noticeably less recoil than the older straight-wall options while delivering plenty of energy for whitetail at typical ranges. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger provides the clean break, and the threaded muzzle takes a suppressor for a very quiet, low-recoil deer rifle.
