The A22 is Savage's straight-blowback .22 LR semi-auto, built around a delayed-blowback design and a rotary magazine that feeds rimfire rounds far more reliably than most stick magazines manage. This version is the target-leaning build: a heavy, fluted 22-inch barrel in a gray laminate thumbhole stock, which adds stability and gives the shooting hand a vertical, consistent grip.

With the user-adjustable AccuTrigger and the extra weight up front, it is a rifle set up for precision rimfire work, small-bore competition and serious squirrel hunting rather than casual plinking.
