The Savage A22 Precision Lite is a semi-automatic .22 LR rifle with an 18-inch barrel in a lightweight carbon-fiber-wrapped style configuration, mounted in an MDT chassis. Savage's A22 line is known for its straight-pull-back bolt design and for being accurate, reliable rimfire fun at the range. The chassis gives the rifle a modern, adjustable feel closer to a tactical or precision rifle, which is useful for training, rimfire competition and plinking. With the inexpensive cost per round of .22 LR, it is a popular way to practice fundamentals and shoot a lot without spending much on ammunition.
