The Savage Axis II Compact is a left-hand bolt-action rifle chambered in .243 Winchester with a 20-inch barrel. The .243 is a favorite among new hunters and smaller-framed shooters because of its mild recoil, and the compact stock helps fit younger or shorter shooters. Savage's Accu-Trigger lets you tune the pull, and the left-hand action is great for southpaws.
