The Savage Axis II Compact XP in .308 Winchester is a left-handed bolt-action rifle with a 20-inch barrel and a green synthetic stock, sold as a package with a scope. The compact stock dimensions make it a good fit for smaller-framed shooters, youth hunters and anyone who wants a handier rifle in the brush. The .308 Winchester is a versatile, widely available cartridge for deer, hogs and other game, and Savage's AccuTrigger helps deliver good accuracy for this price class.
