The Savage Arms Axis II Compact XP in .243 Winchester is a ready-to-hunt package with a 20-inch barrel and scope included. The shorter length and lighter pull suit youth and smaller-framed shooters, and the .243 is a long-standing favorite for deer, antelope and varmint because of its flat trajectory and mild recoil. With the AccuTrigger and a detachable magazine, it is a straightforward beginner or family rifle.
