The Savage Arms Axis 2 Compact XP is a bolt-action rifle in 7mm-08 Remington with a 20-inch barrel, a black and gray synthetic stock, and a scope package. The compact stock is aimed at younger and smaller-framed shooters, and the 7mm-08 is a respected deer cartridge with mild recoil and flat shooting. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger helps you set the pull to your liking, and the scope package makes it ready for the field with minimal setup. It is a practical first big game rifle for a growing hunter.
