The Axis 2 XP package is a complete, ready-to-hunt proposition: rifle, mounted optic, and Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger in a rig that shoots far better than its modest cost suggests. This left-hand version in .22-250 Remington with a 22-inch barrel is a dedicated varmint and predator setup, and the .22-250 is still one of the flattest-shooting, hardest-hitting .22 centerfires ever standardized, with enough velocity to make holdovers on coyotes and prairie dogs almost an afterthought. Southpaw shooters rarely get this kind of value in a turnkey package. The gray synthetic stock and blued metal are built for hard use.
