The Savage Axis II XP is a bolt-action hunting rifle sold as a ready-to-hunt package that includes a mounted scope, chambered in .400 Legend. That straight-wall cartridge was designed for deer hunting in states that require straight-wall rounds, delivering heavy-hitting performance at moderate ranges. This version is a left-hand action with a 20-inch barrel and a black and gray synthetic stock. The adjustable AccuTrigger, accurate Savage barrel, and package convenience make it a strong first hunting rifle or a budget-minded deer gun.
