This Savage Axis 2 XP is a left-hand rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, shipping as a complete package with a mounted and bore-sighted scope so it is ready to sight in rather than requiring a separate optics purchase. True left-hand actions remain uncommon, particularly at this level, and southpaw hunters usually take what they can find. The Axis 2 adds the user-adjustable AccuTrigger over the original, which is a meaningful upgrade for accuracy. The 6.5 Creedmoor pairing makes sense for a first serious rifle: light recoil, excellent long-range performance and factory ammunition available nearly everywhere.
