The Axis 2 improved Savage's entry rifle in the way that mattered most, adding the user-adjustable AccuTrigger to an action that was already strong and accurate. This Pro Forest configuration pairs a bronze Cerakote barreled action with a synthetic stock and is built as a genuine left-hand rifle, which remains uncommon in this segment. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch barrel, it gives southpaw hunters a mild-recoiling, flat-shooting cartridge with excellent long-range ballistics and the broadest ammunition availability of any modern round. A practical, capable deer and antelope rifle without unnecessary complication.
