Savage's Axis 2 line has become the default recommendation for hunters who want real accuracy without a custom-rifle budget, and the Pro Forest version dresses it up with a bronze finish and a threaded muzzle ready for a suppressor or brake. The 6mm ARC chambering is a genuinely interesting choice — designed to push long, high-BC 6mm bullets efficiently from a short action, it hits well above its recoil class on deer-sized game and is superb on predators. The 20-inch barrel keeps it quick in timber, and the AccuTrigger lets you tune pull weight to your preference.
