This Savage Axis 2 Pro Woodland is a left-hand rifle in 7mm-08 Remington with a 20-inch barrel and a bronze finish. Two things make it worth a look: genuine left-hand actions are hard to find outside the premium tier, and the 7mm-08 is one of the most underrated hunting cartridges there is, delivering .308-class terminal performance with better ballistic coefficients and noticeably less recoil. The Axis 2 platform brings Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a floating bolt head that squares the lockup, and the button-rifled barrel that gives Savage its accuracy reputation. A well-matched, honest deer rifle.
