A left-hand Savage Axis 2 XP package rifle in .400 Legend with a 20-inch barrel and wood-look stock. The XP designation means the rifle ships as a scoped, ready-to-hunt package, which has made the Axis line the default first deer rifle for a generation of hunters.

The .400 Legend is Winchester's straight-wall cartridge aimed at the Midwest states that restrict bottleneck rounds for deer season, delivering more frontal area and energy than the .350 Legend while remaining legal under those regulations. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger comes standard, and left-handed shooters get a true mirrored action rather than a compromise.
