The Savage Axis II XP in 7mm-08 Remington is a left-handed bolt-action hunting rifle with a 22-inch barrel and a wood-style stock, bundled in a package with a scope. The 7mm-08 is a favorite among deer and antelope hunters thanks to its flat trajectory, light recoil and excellent downrange performance, and it is often praised as one of the most efficient short-action cartridges. With Savage's AccuTrigger and a free-floated barrel, the Axis II delivers solid accuracy for the class, making it an approachable choice for left-handed hunters stepping up from a hand-me-down rifle.
