The Savage Axis XP is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm-08 Remington with a 22-inch barrel, a black synthetic stock, and a left-handed action. It ships as a package with a mounted scope, so a hunter can take it to the field with minimal additional setup. The 7mm-08 is a respected deer and antelope round, offering mild recoil, flat trajectory, and plenty of accuracy. Savage's Axis line is popular for delivering good accuracy at an approachable price, and the left-handed layout is welcome for southpaw shooters who struggle to find rifles built for them.
