Savage's B-series rimfires brought the AccuTrigger and a 10-round rotary magazine to the .17 HMR, and the result is a bolt gun that shoots the flat-shooting little magnum about as well as it can be shot. The .17 HMR is the go-to for squirrels, prairie dogs, and pest control out to distances that surprise people new to it. This Timber Thumbhole version wears a wood thumbhole stock that locks your hand into a consistent, near-vertical grip, which genuinely helps on small targets from a rest. The 18-inch threaded barrel accepts a suppressor for very quiet work.
