Savage's Renegauge was the company's serious entry into the semi-automatic shotgun market, and the DRIV gas system is what makes it interesting: it vents excess gas rather than dumping it into the action, so the gun cycles a wide range of loads without adjustment and stays cleaner doing it. This Field configuration pairs a 28-inch barrel with a black synthetic stock in 12 gauge, the classic upland and clays setup. The stock system is adjustable for length of pull, comb height, and drop, which matters enormously on a shotgun where fit determines whether you hit or miss.
