SAR's SAR9 line comes out of Sarsilmaz, one of the larger and better-established Turkish arms makers and a longtime supplier to that country's military and police. The SC is the subcompact of the family, with a 3.3-inch barrel in 9mm and a bronze finish on this Gen 2 version. It is a striker-fired polymer pistol built around a full-size feature set scaled down for carry, including interchangeable backstraps and ambidextrous controls.

For shooters looking at a concealable duty-pattern nine, the SAR9 SC offers a lot of pistol without the premium name on the slide.
