The Taurus PT1911 Commander is a single-action 1911 chambered in .45 ACP with a 4.2-inch barrel and a green finish. The Commander length is a time-tested format that balances shootability and concealability, and the 1911 pattern remains one of the most popular handgun designs in the world thanks to its crisp trigger and natural grip angle. Taurus offers this model as a value-oriented option for shooters who want a classic .45 for home defense, range use or carry.
